Tony Cascarino told talkSPORT that he can see Mauricio Pochettino returning to Tottenham.
Despite only being at PSG for less than a year, surprising rumours have already been circulating about Pochettino donning Tottenham colours once again.
Daniel Levy is yet to appoint a new manager in North London since the sacking of Jose Mourinho, with many names linked with the Tottenham job, including the recently departed Inter boss, Antonio Conte.
Ex-Republic of Ireland striker, Cascarino, shared that Pochettino has ‘unfinished’ business at Spurs and he always felt the 49-year-old would return.
“I said before that he has unfinished business at Tottenham and I can see him coming back one day,” said Cascarino. “And I do think that will happen.
“I did read some stories in L’Equipe around Pochettino, and the English press have obviously picked it up. But there seems to be some disagreement with the hierarchy at PSG.
“When Zidane left Real Madrid, I thought that could open the door for him to go to PSG, but they have seemed to downplay that.”
It would be pretty sensational if Levy does bring Pochettino back to Spurs, and it would be a surprise if he left PSG.
Pochettino has more of a chance of lifting the big trophies in PSG colours, and whilst he failed to win the Ligue 1 title this season, he has won two trophies since being snapped up by the big-money French club.
Tottenham were declining just before Pochettino left and they have declined further since he departed.
So, if he is back this summer then his job to turn this stagnating Tottenham ship around will be even tougher.
