Well-known journalist Duncan Castles has said on the Transfer Window Podcast that Mbappe’s first-choice club, if he leaves PSG, would be Liverpool, as covered by HITC Sport.

Journalist Ian McGarry has previously said on the Transfer Window Podcast that the Merseyside club are looking into the possibility of signing Mbappe from PSG, as covered by HITC Sport.

Benzema told Marca, as translated by The Daily Star: “Kylian is a young player, with immense quality and he is a good boy.

“He would be welcome to Real Madrid, of course, but what team wouldn’t sign him without hesitation?

“For now he has a contract at PSG and we will see what he decides. Today our priority is to win the Euros.”

Mbappe is one of the best strikers in the world and would make Liverpool very potent in attack.

The 22-year-old striker is out of contract at PSG at the end of next season.

Although PSG are adamant that they will not sell the striker, anything is possible during transfer windows.

PSG would want a lot of money, and if Liverpool are to bring the France international to Anfield this summer, then they should be prepared to cough up the cash.

Benzema himself is a world-class striker and has played with players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

The Frenchman knows a quality player when he sees one, and his comments on Mbappe show just what Liverpool would get if they sign him.
