The Islanders advanced to the third round of the Stanley Cup playoffs Wednesday after dispatching the Bruins, 6-2, to clinch the series in six games.

Brock Nelson scored twice, and Kyle Palmieri, Travis Zajac, Cal Clutterbuck and Ryan Pulock added a goal apiece at Nassau Coliseum to lift the Islanders to the next round, where they’ll face off with the Lightning, for the second straight year, for the right to play for the Stanley Cup.
